Is this fully legal? I keep hearing about undeclared cleaners in Switzerland.
Yes — completely. Around 80% of domestic cleaners in Switzerland work off the books, which puts the household at legal risk. Our cleaners are directly employed by us, registered for AHV (Swiss social security), insured and paid under the official industry agreement. You simply receive an invoice — nothing to declare, nothing to worry about.
Do I need to be at home during the clean?
Only for the first visit, ideally, so you can show your cleaner around and explain your preferences. After that most clients hand over a key against a written receipt or leave an entry code. We clean, lock up and send a photo confirmation.
Can I pause or cancel — for example when I travel or leave Switzerland?
Yes. There is no minimum term and no subscription. Individual visits can be cancelled free of charge with more than 28 days notice — handy for holidays. To stop entirely, the notice period is simply four cleans (four weeks if you clean weekly). Leaving Switzerland for good? Just tell us — we make it easy.
